Generate and publish llms.txt for Shopify.

Citewise turns your Shopify store content into an AI-readable llms.txt file served from your storefront.

What llms.txt does

llms.txt gives AI crawlers and assistants a concise map of important store content such as products, collections, pages, and brand information.

How to publish

  1. Open Citewise in Shopify admin.
  2. Go to llms.txt.
  3. Click Regenerate from Shopify.
  4. Review the generated content.
  5. Publish the reviewed version.

Where it appears

The published file is served through the Shopify app proxy on your storefront. The URL usually looks like:

https://YOUR_STORE_DOMAIN/apps/geo/llms.txt

Tips

  • Regenerate llms.txt after major product, collection, or brand changes.
  • Review generated text before publishing.
  • Use Action Center recommendations to identify missing or outdated content.
  • Keep descriptions factual and useful for AI assistants and shoppers.
